Car just turns over...

Strange issue with my car....

I swapped the stock opti-spark last week. Car started fine and ran fine for 10 minutes...stalled for no reason and ended up being a stuck starter that seized.

Replace that...and put on the headers, exhaust, accessories and get it rewired.

Fires up and ten seconds later...stalls.

Strange fuel issue that was fixed with a faulty relay that came with the racetronix kit.

I have spark, I have fuel...yet it just turns over and does not fire up. All sensors are clean...wires are in good shape...there is no reason at all the car is not firing up.

I just wonder now if the Accel opti-spark has failed or the timing is off? All the plugs were fouled out something fierce....cleaned them up and even took air pressure to the combustion chambers to dry them out.

Plugs are not fouling now....good fuel psi...spark...so could it be the timing of the spark?

Any thoughts?

Easiest way to tell is put number 1 at TDC and pull the cap off the distributor. The rotor should be pointing near the 6 oclock position.

I replaced my failed opti that was completely destroyed (yet short shifted and ran times in sig), with an Accel opti-spark.

Last week I replaced the replacement (the Accel) with a stock OEM opti and guess what, the car started up.

Who would have guessed.....

Yea I dont think accel has figured out the opti spark situation because there has recently been alot of complaints on them. Good to know, I almost bought one.
