This car!! Hurry!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2483736080

Check out that car!! I talked to the dude for about 35 minutes on the phone and he was really cool and basically told me the car is perfect mechanical condition. The auction is almost over but I want the car but can't inspect it!! You think its worth the risk of driving 10 hours and giving a friend 200$ to find out the car is worthless!! But I don't see a reason why the car should suck, he said its flawless and look at the last few words he says...

"the mods are, turbo flow exhaust, hood locks, stage two computer chip, hevy duty clutch (recently installed,@96000), new brakes.this car looks and runs real good!if you bid on this car and drive it ,and then don't like it you can walk away, that's how much confidence that i have in this car.tires have about 65% to 75% plenty of life.if you have any questions email me."

Thanks!!

It looks like a good deal to me. It's hard to tell but they can't sell you lemon. Run the VIN on carfax. That might help.

What does it all mean? Lien? Rear impact with another vehicle, airbag deployed... that does mean his rear was hit? Or he hit someone elses? It doesn't specify how bad the accident was, should I chance it?

Thats why I posted that, it says rear impact, airbag deployed... but then it says...

No Damaged Record Found
No Junk Record Found
No Rebuild/Rebuildable Record Found
No Salvage Record Found
No Frame Damage Record Found
No Major Damage Incident Record Found
No NHTSA Crash Test Vehicle Record Found

Isn't that good?

Yes that's good but why did the airbag deploy? Ask the seller. It looks like a good car but all I saw was a head on shot.

Yes it is but it usually takes a considerable impact to set off the airbag.

It's your choice. I bought mine on ebay with bad record risking $500 deposit, but the price/mileage were so good, and I needed project so bad... so I got a project... never regret it Other car I bought after collision with deployed airbags and stuff - very solid car. But, every situation is different. BTW, I don't like that blurry picture of engine bay

I would get as much info from him as possible. What kind of "heavy duty clutch" is he talking about, "turbo flow exhaust" and stage 2 chip? Where did the accident happen on the body? The price seems pretty decent though.

Just my .02 here, but I bought my Z off ebay about 6 months ago, and have no regrets. One thing I think you should realistically expect is to put some $ into it for issues unaccounted for. I'm gonna have to do some tranny work, but I was planning on buffing up/revamping the tranny anyway, so it's not a huge loss. If buying the car will wipe out your funds, I wouldn't do it, but if you'll have some cushion to repair any issues, go for it! The car looks sharp, but I'd triple check the title to make sure it's really clear and not reconditioned (unless it already is?). Anyhow, good luck!
