car hesitating

ive changed optispark, coil, ignition control module, plugs/wires, and thermostat... all brand new parts... what could be causing my hesitation? its only over 40 mph... when im at a stop or going at a low speed there is no hesitation when it give it either a little or a lot of gas... when im going at like 45 and i give it 1/4 throttle it hesitates for like 3 seconds and then goes... the rmps dont move for those couple seconds, but the speedometer does go up... at 40-49 if u give it a little gas its fine then half way it hesitates and full throttle its fine... and 50-59 its the same just it feels like to hesitate instead of half way more like only like 25% throttle... i think its only in the overdrive gear too... i put it in drive and i didnt have the hesitation... but when i was driving in drive whenever i took my foot off the gas the speed dropped real fast and it felt like it needed to shift... kind of like a stick car that needs to shift with no foot on the gas... what u think?

Sounds like a transmission problem, not an ignition problem. The fact that it only happens in overdrive kinda gives that away and at a certain mile per hour. But thats just my take on it.
