Do you think I damaged anything? I'm trying to refill the coolant, and I hope nothing bad happened! I think there's still air in the system
Yea i think that is your problem because I noticed you just did the cam swap so you obviously flushed the system. Make sure that there is no air in the system when you top it off and that should fix your problem.
Shouldn't be any damage if it was only in the red for a few seconds. The fuse on my electric water pump went out on me last year and I kept driving for a minute or so before I realized it was in the red before I shut it down. I didn't have any problems afterward.
Well I didn't fully drain it before the cam install. I didnt take out the block drain plugs, I drained the radiator and then a bunch of coolant drained out from the waterpump and where it meets the block when I removed the WP.
I just talked to a guy at CMotorsports and he said I'll be fine. Just get more coolant in there. I put in like 1 and 1/3 gallons of coolant, he said the way I drained it it should take more like 2 gallons.
And I also realized that my radiator cap wasn't on correctly and some coolant spit out of there
