Car has 93k on it. H/C or just build a new motor?
Well I have been planning on just building a forged 355 or 383 for a while now, but the price is just insane.
So I am now thinking of just getting my heads ported, intake port matched & throwing in a cam and just run that till it goes. Maybe throw the 3500 stall and/or nitrous at it like I also have planned.
So should i just continue to sock the money away for a new motor or do H/C combo now?
I just don't wanna do H/C now and wish I had waited to just do the whole motor in a few months.
Car seems to run strong, rich, but strong.
It's a 95 Z28 A4

port the heads and put the hot cam kit in there, you wont be sorry, my car pulls like a raped ape with 103,XXX on the clock. take good care of the motor you have and she will last you for another 100,000 miles.
P.S. Zpaul2fresh8 is a lying, minipulating, scammer!!!

Anyone else have any input?
Depends on how many miles you put on in a year. 10k a year? then I would say you may not need a rebuild for 5+ years and would do a cam/heads or whatever. You may deceide not to keep it that long anyway. I don't know. If you put 20k a year on then I would do a rebuild now unless you want to do one in 2-3 years anyway on top of adding whatever now. Just cost alot more.

94SLUG: I assume that was without any labor. I can't do all the work on my porch of my apartment lol. I will be having a shop build it.
It depends on what you want in the long run. If you wanna be really fast some day running in the low 11s/high 10s or better, then just save for a little while and rebuild the motor while you have it apart. You'll have all (if not more) of the performance than just a heads/cam, plus you can do whatever else you want (nitrous, blower, etc.) safely and without worry. Say you do the heads/cam now, and then decide you want more, you'll probably end up doing a rebuild sooner or later anyways. I'd say just do it now and get it over with, you surely won't regret it!

I would say under 10k a year since it is now just a pleasure car only taken out on nice days. I will be keeping the car forever. I can't see selling it.

That was with all labor and parts(not injectors), iv been trying freaking scan the invoice for the last 30 min. If youy really want ill type the invoice on here. 3.8k for the motor and full assembly from street & strip Miami, Fl 305-278-2262 ask for Al. The stroker would have cost the same money, i just dont like strokers!
