car dying problem!!!

Ok i know this is an lt1 spot but i need help and this is similer to some things that are discussed here. I have a 91 GTA that i just put some heads and cam in. I bought a TCI 3000-3500 stall converter in it too. When i put the car in gear it dies like a standard does when you let off the clutch in gear. I think it is a torque converter problem but it is brand new ordered from summit and I dont think it should be locked up already. It is a lockup converter and I unplugged the lockup plug and it still died. But when you lift the wheels off the ground it doesnt die until you push the brakes. I need help im about to put the 2400 back in but if i dont have to then i dont want to. Please help!

Thanks, Bill

Well, I think you've answered your own problem. It definitely sounds like a tq converter problem.
