Question Car is bogging down/hesitating

On both regular roads and the interstate my car sometimes bogs down or hesitates then the rpm go up some and seems to be better. i put some transmission fluid in and seemed to help some but it still seems to be acting funny. i was thinkin maybe a semi-cloged fuel filter or something maybe? i do have a BBK throttle body and MSD ignition if that matters. anybody have any ideas?

95 Z Automatic with 55k miles

post year of car and trans in you sign.
how many miles on your car?

could be alot of things
plugs, wires, opti, O2's...and the list goes on.

What are the most recent things you have replaced (tune-up wise)

Re: Car is bogging down/hesitating

check and see if it has msd plug wires on it. if so replace them and see if that fixes the prob. i had simular issues and i spent over a grand trying to fix it and it turned out to be a faulty set of msd plug wires

Riiight...is your defroster on? You heard a click...hmmm sounds like the ac compressor kicking on and pulling the power of the car down. If it gets low on coolent it will do it alot.

Re: Car is bogging down/hesitating

overfilling your ac will most certianly cause a quick and painful (to your wallet) deth of your ac system. i would bleed alot of it out and take it to a professional to do it unless you wanna pay 500 for a new one. i have the proper gauges and vacume pump to do it with and if you were in sc i would do it for ya for free.

Re: Car is bogging down/hesitating

and the refil kit the sell at napa and pepboys and walmart are crap. you have to pull a vacume on the ac to remove all of the old r134a and then you have to add refridgerent oil and then the proper lbs of r134a to the system or your pissing in the wind. too little and it wont be cold and to much and you will kill your ac
