Caps for SLP shorties....

DUmped my air pump and EGR crap and need to know if anyone has capped their SLP shorties? I found out the hard was that the drain plugs are for the other styles. What do you use to cap the SLP's???

What year SLP headers do you have? I have 1993 style and used a M-22 drain plug with no issues.. 93-95 will use a M-22 drain plug. 96/97 style headers use an M-18...

Do a search, I coulda sworn I just posted this yesterday

I did but all the drain plugs I looked at were of the screw type. My SLP's look like they will need like caps. The threads are on the outside of the pipe not the inside.

What year are the damn things bro? I think they have threads inside and out ?? I'm not 100% on that though, Different years, different styles... I dont see why you'd have any problems.... M-18 drain or M-22 drain plug, buy one of each, whatever one doesnt fit, return it and get another of the one that does

I know what you're talking about, my 94 Style SLP's needed a cap not a plug for the AIR fittings. I assume SLP changed the style of these AIR connections in later production because most people with older ones say they use the thread in plug for theirs. I found a brass cap for them at Home Depot in the plumbing parts section, costs a buck or two. It wasn't the exact thread size but it works. I took the piece off the old manifolds with me to use to match it up. You can kind of see them here in this pic

Your not hearin him bro Hes saying his headers have male threads, just like the plugs your talking about. He needs something with female threads to cap it, not plug it.

I have a 94, for mine i walked into the hardware store with a header in hand and proceeded to the pipe section. There i picked up a standard pipe cap that fit. 7/8 maybe? i don't remember the exact size but standard pipe thread screwed on well enough to seal when tightened down.
