Nope, all B-bodys got 2 bolt mains. However there are stories of Gm replacing 2 bolt short blocks with 4 bolt short blocks if a motor was pulled under warranty. So there probably are a few 4 bolt B-bodies out there but if its from the factory it has two bolts.

Buick roadmasters came with lt1's as well. (in case anyone cares) One in the yard with a totalled rear would be a find for a motor pull Of course there are prolly difference in heads and other small details as mentioned above

my motor now is out of a cadillac. I already had heads and I couldn't pass up a complete running LT1 and all accessories for 500 bucks. It was a 2 bolt by the way.

Well, you're close. Make that 94-96. That being Caprice-Impala-Roadmaster-Fleetwood. Each oem equipped with 10 bolts holding up the crank.

yea, I looked closer and you're right. ConsumerGuide.com was a little unclear that it was in 94 that the engine changed...

Comsumer Guide? Did CG also state some LT1 Buicks were actually equipped with prototype L(S)1s?

what did you send me that link for? I keep clicking it and it takes me back here. For some reason I seem to think that it will take me somewhere else if I keep clicking it. You're messing with my head man!

He emailed me a link to this thread for some reason. I was a little tipsy last night so it was really getting to me. I kept clicking it trying to figure out why he sent it. I still have no idea why...

Thanks for the comment. A lot of people ask me (none f-body people) now that they are painted weither they are functional or not. When I say no their like, that's gay. I just glare at them....

My motor on my car was replaced under warranty at a dealer, I wonder if mine is a 4-bolt? That would be sweet I have the paperwork around here somewhere with the part # for the GM LT1 crate motor.
