cap and rotor vs complete opti?

ok my car is in need of one of these two items. So how likely is it that it is something else on the opti other than the cap/rotor that causes a horrible miss and stumbling? and does anyone have the msd cap/rotor or is it even availible? Thanks.

Depends on the mileage on the opti. Yes, the MSD parts are available.

Opti has about 70k on it and just recently started to miss/stumble at any rpm.

If you replace the opti, Dal Slaubaugh 877-448-5451, sells them $285 for 1994 LT1 and I think the vented units may be less! He bought a large quantity from GM and is passing on the savings.

Is your car setting any codes ? ITs possible it could just be a cap and rotor , but .....as much as the cap and rotors are , and seeing as how you have 70K on the current one , I would just replace the opti with a new one . Thats alot of work to go thru for just a cap and rotor on high mileage opti .
