I have the same problems on both of my Camaros, and I have had to learn how to live with those problems.... Nothing seems to make 'em go away unless someone is in the back seat holding them. TTT for you, I want to know the solution too.

The most common fixes are adjusting the rubber bumpers on the rear corners and for squeaks, putting some electrical tape around the latch loop. Make sure it is the hatch rattling and not the jack or spare tire.

Are you sure it's coming from the hatch, becuase I had the same noise and I thought it was the hatch, but all it turned out to be was the latch for the folding back seat was rubbing on the pin that it clips on to. All I did was put electrical tape around it and the noise went away, everyonce and awhile it wears through the tape and I have redo it.

I had a similar rattle, turned out to be the jack - because I didn't stow it properly.

When I put on my subframe connectors almost all of the hatch rattling went away. Now only the hardest bump will make it creak. Before that I had tried adjusting averything back there.

My hatch rattles like crazy too. I'll have to double check the spare and jack though.

I was thinking about subframe connectors....this might just be the thing that pushes me to getting them.

I found one that I couldve sworn was the hatch also but turned out to be the plastic bucket under the gas cap door somehow loosened up. Only rattled going down the road but definetly sounded like it was coming from the hatch.

Replacing the rear gasket is the only thing I know of that fixes it, it compresses over time. It's easy to install and costs about $30-50 through one of the discount shops if I remember right.

I repositioned the latch on the body side. I loosened it, and moved it lower. It makes the hatch close a little tighter and compresses the seal more. Mine has never rattled since.

I might try that, but I'm afraid it will have trouble catching. Mine already sticks a little - I press the button to open it, then when I go back there I have to push down a little for it to pop-up.

If it doesnt work, I'd rather just pay the money for the stripping and have it fit properly.

Repositioning the latch works, I also put new bumperstops on and adjusted those, No rattles
