cant figure it out !

i have a 95 firebird formula , motor is all stock . ok heres my problem
sometimes it will start and run like **** then after about 2-3 min it will die

then sometimes it will not start at all .
i scanned it and got a code 43 , the wire was not all the way on ths knock sensor . i put the wire on and started it and it still ran like crap . i cleared the code and let it run until it died and the code did not come back .
could this posible be a problem with the coil and the icm ?

It could be a problem with a lot of things. There is just not enough data there to tell. Check all obvious stuff for connection and fitment, first.

Have you checked the fuel pressure?

You could have gone to your local Sears or auto parts store and snagged one for 30 bucks.

The PCM does not provide voltage to the injectors. There are two fuses to 4 each of the injectors, but what you say has no voltage is mixed between the fuses. If it was 2,3,5,8 or 1,4,6,7 it would likely be a fuse. Maybe you really mean 1,4,6,7.

There are some tabs you have to release to get the fuse box apart, IIRC. Yes, the power wires to the injectors are pink. If it is really 1,2,6,7 (you did not confirm) that don't have power, the problem is not going to be on the common feed from the fuse.

shoebox , when the wire comes off the number 9 fuse where does it go ? the books and wiring digrams say it goes directly to the injector , but i traced it a little and it looks like it goes somewhere over by the pcm .

Did you look at the schematic link I posted? It shows it going through C100 cavity "A". That may be where your open is. It would be the next logical place to check. Here is a pic of where C100 is (ignore the fan switch notations).

Please be fair and heed the TTT rules posted in the sticky at the top of the forum.

Fuse 10 is the circuit you want

1,4,6&7 are fed from fuse #10 in the underhood fuse panel. It feeds a pink wire that goes through connector C100. It's a black 10 pin connector near the PCM. The confusing part is, both the wires for fuse 9 and fuse 10 are next to each other on one end of the connector. The one you want to look at is on the same side as the latch.

From that connector the pink wire goes to a splice S102 which is located about 5 cm from injector #3. From there is splits off to the 1,4,6 &7 injectors.

Obviously if the fuse is good, the wire is broke somewhere between the fuse panel and the splice. Good place to start is the connector. Perfect 1/2 way point.
