cant decide

well i've done a few things so far to my SS but i don't know what i should do next.

i bought the car 2 months ago and it has 66k miles on it. Its a 6 speed. i bought it stock. and i have a good bit of money into it already.

Jet Hot longtube headers ( no emissions )
taylor 8mm spyro pros
bosche platnum spark plugs
custom 3" side exit exhaust with dynomax bullets
lowered 2"
factory ram air, stock filter, cant find a good aftermarket
Bypassed throttle body
!CAGS
!EGR
!CATS
!AIR
descreened MAF

would i notice a differance after i program my computer?

i was thinking about putting a cam kit in this winter, something not so mild. i want some 17x11 ZR1 wheels.

a supercharger is out of the question, i cant afford one

i was thinking about a nitrus kit 100-150 shot

i know im going to need a 12 bolt in the future.

what can i do to make my T-56 stronger?

i dont know what do do next and i still need my computer programmed

Maybe some suspensions stuff? STB, SFCs, LCAs, etc.

i have looked into a K&N but they do not make one for the 97 SS. DUH.

i was thinkin a cam but wasnt sure what one, i see a lot of cc306's . is that one better than doin a LT4 hotcam kit?

your t-56 doesn't need any more strength

nitrous is fun

tuning is nice for a mere $150 or so, good gains

12 bolt is inevitable if you want to have traction at the track

relocation brackers, LCA and sFC are a good idea

there is no such thing as a "best cam." one size does not fit all.

u need to state goals, how high you wan to rev and head flow charactoristics. then pick a cam :0

The LT4 is a mild cam, small performance gain, near stock idle, probably no need for programming, etc. The CC306 is bigger, more power, will need programming, etc. So which one is better will depend on what you want.

Is the airbox on the SS the same size as the WS6 cars? Same size filter? Maybe one of those would fit. On the K&N website, they list the different styles and sizes of filters... it won't list the car, but will say: Flat 7" x 5" or whatever. So you could measure your stock filter, and see if they have one available.

i like the gears in my car, they are strong enough and traction is already a problem. i was told they are 3.42s if anything i'll go with some 3.73s when i go to a 12 bolt.

the cc306 cam is probibly what i'll go with, along with some 1.6rr

what SFC's should i go with? my car is red. and what LCA's and relocation brackets are good?

i'd like to get matching colors for underneath, and ground clearance is a problem for me.

if i could sell my wheels i have i would buy the 17x11 ZR1 wheels on ebay. my wheels that i have on my car now were over 1600 and they are 2 or so months old and mint. i'll try listing them for sale.

scyzoryk: just thought i'd let you know that you have a goof in your SIG. your supra "wing" not "wind" your welcome

K&N does make a filter that fits. Its for a jeep.

Holley came out with one that fits and also has the pleats arranged vertically, rather than horizontally (more like stock) whereas the K & N has the horizontal type.

I got the Holley Power Shot to replace my K & N which I will keep as a spare.JMHO

thats what i meant by K&N not making one for the LT1 SS, its for a jeep. i wouldn't trust it from what i've heard they are no good to use. which design lets more air in? up and down or sideways? i might get a holly. whats the part number on it?

Holley 221-5

The Holley with vertical orientation won't accordian off the air box like the horizontal K&N could possibly do.

They are made of the same materials and are about the same size.
