Can you replace just the lifters?
My lifters are getting louder and louder. I tried adjusting the rocker arms, but the noise is still there. Can you replace just the lifters? My car has 115K miles. If I only replace the lifters will it effect my cam in any bad way? What all do I have to do to replace them? Pull the intake and the rocker arms?
Re: Can you replace just the lifters?
Yea you can replace them. I have a set of factory ones out of my car. They have 40k miles on them. If you want them I'll ship'em to ya for 50.00. You just need to remove the intake and rockers like you said. Easy job, will in no way effect your cam...

Re: Can you replace just the lifters?
I would only go new. the cranes are only $190 at summit. going cheap on valve train parts can cost you big money, if anything fails.
The link only applies only to flat tappet. you have roller lifters. ajust install them the same way the old lifters come out.

Are you ever planning on doing a cam swap, or rebuild in a few years? If so, why spend the money on new lifters now, when your going to replace it all in the future. Hyd. Roller lifters don't wear like a flat tappet.
