can in stall..did the cam fall down when putting it in?
when you guys installed your cam..did it drop down? mine did almost every time..and now im afraid i might of knicked the bearings..i did it very lightly...but i want to make sure.
Re: can in stall..did the cam fall down when putting it in?
It will fall down if you don't hold it firm and straight, and even then it can get away from you a little bit. This is why you want to go very slow and rotate the cam on it's way in. As long as you weren't forcing it in once it 'fell', then you are probably OK. The cam will click and clank a little on it's way in/out, even if you are real careful.

oh i was very very careful..i used cam lube too...and there was no forcing...every once and a while...i had to twist the cam cuz it wouldnt go in..but i put it in very gently..but i couldnt help it falling in whenever it would get past the bearings...but itseemed to go in fine..i was just nervous..im not sure how easy it is to nick the bearing.

It would be nice if engine stands could be rotated vertically, then you could slide the cam straight down.
Or if you could make gravity horizontal......
Or if you could make gravity horizontal......
