My observation was a couple of people had trouble with the AS&M ypipe contacting the floorpan. The only SLP fitment issue i can remember was with the dual cat version, can't say i read every post though

Mine were a bugger to get some of the bolts started, but once i did everything lined up well.

The AS&M also have given a few people trouble at the removeable section around the steering.

But, as he said they are very similar with many people using them adn happy.

i dont know if you know any of the local shops around here, but ill name you a few. theres: Zeke's , Giroux performance, Raceshop 2000, Lemieux performance . you could always check prices with them as well .

another company is in Winnipeg or something. the website is Fasttoys.net. ive dealt with him too, great service. you might be able to save a bit if you shop around (dont forget about taxes and brokerage fees when you buy from the states). although, there are ways to work around them a bit

and keep an eye on the for sale section in here as well, lotsa good stuff have fun
Nice to see a fellow montrealer!
BTW I tried to PM you but it said your mailbox was full

About the local shops... Zekes overcharges (im sure), and i heard bad things about lemieux, but i dont know any of the other shops you mentionned. Ive already spoken to fast toys about headers. So far the only company ive really dealt with is tbyrne from the US and they seem very good. The prices are good (theyll beat any internet advertised if you can find one lower) they always write back quickly when i email them with a question and their shipping is fast, its just that some of the parts i ordered were not in stock so i have to wait.

I heard theres a way to eliminate brokerage fees so that you only end up paying GST 7% on products ordered from the US, is true (like if you pass the item at customs yourself)?

So 94formulabz, based on what youve told me, simply getting the 1 3/4" SLP mid-length stainless steel headers seems like the best option.

Are you happy with yours?

Go with Longtubes and True duals with the longest bullet mufflers you can get. You can get Longtubes for $5-600 and true duals for $275. At least thats what I paid for mine. Just buy the bends and collectors for the headers, and mufflers and have them welded up. True duals alone for me added up to about $250 or so.
