Can a non-vented OPTI work with OBD2?
Can a non-vented OPTI work with OBD2?
My brother is trading in his car (96 Z28). Obviously he has OBD2. My car is a 94 Trans Am (OBD1). He just put a brand new OPTi on his car. I haven't had to replace the OPTI yet.
My question is, could we place his opti on my car (I would buy the extra pieces for the normal vented opti swap) and my opti on his car without any problems on his end?

Seems like a lot of extra work and one potential problem is that it will leave his car without a crank position sensor. That will cause a code to come up on his car that you could not do anything about.
You do know that you would have to replace or drill your cam too, right?
