The knock module wont but the knock sensor will. GM decided to integrate the knock sensor into the block coolant drain plug. And when i drained the coolant to change my opti i didnt snap it on all the way and i was throwing a knock sensor/circuit code. I ran super rich for a while until i bought a scanmaster and figured out the problem. Hope this helps.
