Can I tell the difference between lt1 and lt4 heads by look?
Some guy is selling me some stage 3 ported LT4 heads. How can I tell by looking at them if they are really LT4 heads? Is there a big physical difference between Lt1 and Lt4 heads?
Another quetion, will a Lt4 intake work with lt1 heads? Thanks for the info guys.

Well the most obvious thing to do is to just check the casting number on the heads...

IIRC the LT4 stuff may have "LT4" cast into the top of one of the intake runners. There are some other differences, like the additional clearance on the intake surface for the taller intake manifold, but really I think the best thing is to just look up the casting number
Dunno why you'd want to run the lt4 intake on the lt1's really, but you could if you machined the intake surface to clear it. Poked around, but I've no picture comparing the two, it's a pretty obvious difference.
