i have another motor...i wanna just freshen it up....no 383's.... the block has been hot tanked and clean.... fully dis assemblied...comes with crank and rods, and pistons...


so can i re ring and reuse them if they check out okay at the machine shop?

 

There shouldn't be a problem as long as everything checks out ok. You should go ahead and go with new bearings(main, rod, and cam), rings, oil pump, timing set, rod bolts, head bolts, and of course you'll need all new gaskets and such.
