Can I move a car after the motor is dropped out the bottom?

If I drop the motor out the bottom (with the wheels, suspension, etc.) how hard would it be to get the car on a trailer and take it somewhere? Do I need to worry about twisting the body since there is nothing holding it straight? Also, how much does the front of the car weigh with everything out? (I don't need a number but can say two people pick it up?)

Thanks
Dustin

Most people do drop it from the bottom right? I don't mind working on my car in the driveway but I'm not going to let it sit there for however long it takes me to rebuild the motor. Has anyone had to move their car?

i moved mine around the driveway with a engine hoist after the motor was out but not on to a trailer. I have subframe connectors so there was no real body twist.

I bought an old sub frame from my local boneyard for 40.00 bucks. I then welded some Large roller castors on the bottom of it then bolted it to the car. Now I can roll my Body of my car all around the driveway.

i put a 4x4 board across where the k-member used to go..... jacked it up and rolled it around on the floor jack.

worked fine to back it up ~20' so it was outside and i could pressure wash the underside & engine bay.... but i wouldnt leave it like that, it's not very stable.

I just do this to a friends car. Once the engine was out, we took it off the k member and put it in the engine stand and bolt the k member back in place. It takes like 10 minutes to bolt the k member in. We just made the bolts figer tight and push it out the door.

the last way would be the best way to do it, but you are talking an hour or 20 just to line it up and put the bolts in finger tight and another hour to un-do it when its time to install the motor...
