Can I get a 98+ T-56 to fit my 93?

I am looking to do a T-56 swap and was curious to what I need to look for. I would rather have a newer tanny in my car but I guess it doesnt matter since Ill need to rebuild the tranny anyways. Is it possible to get a newer(98+) tranny in an older(93) car? If so, what modifications or extra parts are needed? Thanks.

well you can get anything to "fit" with enough fabrication, but as a general answer, no.
different bolt patterns.

Fit anything huh? I want to fit 20 mL of water inside a 10mL container .

BTW: Did you steal that Challenge Everything line from the intro to an EA (Electronic Arts) produced game?

ok, just fabricate the 10ml container to fit 30 ml, and your ready for next time too

and no, its been my "line" for a few years now. I haven't played video games in ages, then I visited my buddy up an university of buffalo in NY. Turn on the PS and "Challenge everything"

Well if for some reason you found one for like $100 or $200 less than a 93-97 T56, for whatever reason I dont know why, you could just get a the bell housing off a 93-97 and bolt it up, I think, I doubt theres any difference between them except the bell housing.

The input shafts are different too. You would have to change that along with the bellhouseing. I think there is one more thing to be changed but I can't remember what it is.

Thanks guys, I just thought it might be easier to find a deal when I was looking for trannies from 9 different years instead of just 5. When it comes to between the 93 or the 94-97 t-56's, which should I go with? I know the gearing for each gear is different but which is better? Thanks again.
