Can a hotcam'ed car run out of gas?

I mean can a hotcamm'ed car run out of gas with a stock fuel pump....I have had tuning done but it just seems to be missing up top and last time i had it dynoed it was about 14.9-15.0 Air/Fuel at about 5k rpms and up......Has anyone else had any problems with this?

I've heard the stock fp can support approx 400hp (fwhp) so I don't think that's a problem for you. Your A/F ratio sounds kind of high, I have the same cam & springs and mine was around 13/1 after 5K. Your problem could also be the LT4 springs, they are supposed to be just adequate for the hotcam, not ideal. You may be getting valve float at higher rpms. I'm thinking of swapping them out for something stronger, mine car seems to drop off after 6K rpm, I thought it would still pull a little beyond that.

Could also be a plugged filter or faulty fuel pressure regulator. What kind of fuel pressure does your car put out?
