Re: can it be done?

Sure. You just need all the stuff to do it.

Re: can it be done?

Why would you want to? It won't take too much for an lt1 to run with an ls2.

Re: can it be done?

thats wild.... an ls1 in a civic. i think its gross haha

the reason for this question is that i had some "catastrophic" engine problems and my LT1 is toast. and i know where to get an LS2 for decent money so it would save me a few bucks compared to dressing up another LT1.

Re: can it be done?

Depending on your definition of "decent money" it might be less expensive to just rebuilt the LT1

Re: can it be done?

the thing is though that its going to take a lot to rebuild my LT1 and then to get it up around 400HP like the LS2 is going to be quite a chunk of change. so i dont know, i guess i really need to look at EVERYTHING that needs to be changed in order to accept the LS2.

Re: can it be done?

If you rebuild the LT1, you will be spending all your money on the engine. If you swap to an LS2, you will be spending money on a lot of other things besides the engine.

Re: can it be done?

yeah i've come to realize that maybe sticking with an LT would be smarter. i want to get max hp without changing any internal engine parts, i want that to be stock. any ideas?

Re: can it be done?

dont do that, simply buy a 383 stroker kit (about $1000) and you'll get everything you need for a simple rebuild and then if thats not enought throw on a set of heads to go with it, you'll be eaaaasily over 400hp, id recommend a Mad Z/28 tune as well seeing as your stock pcm wont know what the hells going on.

Re: can it be done?

If you do a top end package from Lloyd Elloit or AI on a 383 with all the supporting mods you will be very close to 500 flywheel horsepower naturally aspirated.
