can a clogged cat cause a misfire??
have any of you guys had one clog or blow out on you? my car starting running really bad a few days ago so i wound up getting it towed home. i scanned it and came up with all kinds of numbers refer to my other thread>http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=218767 well i started it up yesterday and it ran fine open loop, once it reached closed loop it ran like ****. started it up again today and heard a rattling coming from under the car on the passenger side and walked to the back to see if the exhaust smelled rich and saw small metal particles coming out of the tail pipe
well i check the scanner and everything is back to normal. so i looked at the tailpipe again and now there was like cotton looking material with more metal particles attached to it coming out. im thinking my cat was clogged causing my misfire code and running like crap and then it finally blew out the cat. and the car is running pretty good now, but cotton like stuff in the cat?? well now i have a good reason to spend the 5 bills on the random tech y-pipe
