Can a 93 oil press. Be converted to a 95
can a 93 oil pressure sensor wire be converted to a 95 unit?
My 93 broke when i removed the engine, the replacement LT1 is a 95 and has it still attached.
also
What is the Wire Plug in the tail shaft of my 93' 4l60
What is it, how important is it?
The wires got pulled out of the plug when i removed the engine.
I will buy a pig tail later but i want to crank and test drive the new engine.
Answer: NO, the sensor is different inside. It will give you a false reading
But Yes, the pigtail is the same.
On a 93 z28 The oil pressure switch/sensor is connected to the Fuel pump, no oil press. the fuel pump will turn off.

not too sure about the sensor,i do know the instr.clusters are different and will not function properly in a 94-97...
the wires you pulled out are for thr VSS(vehicle speed sensor)you will want to repair that so your speedo will work and the transmission will lock-up....

If you use the 95 oil pressure unit you will also need the 90* bend. The plug that is on the top of the block should fit where the 93 oil pressure unit goes. I can't remember if the pig tail is the same but I think it is, just remove the rubber cover.

I went to auto zone with the old one in my hand and mactched it up. I don't remember exaclty how much it was but i want to say around 20 bucks. I broke mine when putting in my long tubes.

the rebuild engine is a 95 LT1 and has all the stuff i just wanted to know if anyone had been able to convert it the wires.
But if they are that cheap at auto zone ill just buy a new one. my 2nd water temp sensor also snapped off. WTF are these bastards made of.
