Is there any diffenence between a Z28 that came from the factory WITH Z rated tires and one that did not?

 

All 93-97 Z28 came with LT-1s that im sure of. However i think that the ones that didn't come with Z rated tires have a spedo that only goes up to 125mph and the might have a different suspension... not sure though

 

No Z rated = 115mph speedometer and speed limiter

My car was used and the dealer put new tires on it... too bad they didnt put Z rated tires on, but my car still has the 150 mph speedo... Im pretty sure that the only cars with 115 speedo's are the V-6's

 

This comes up about every 53 days..
Non Z rated tire Z28's came with a speed limiter AND 110 not 150 speedos[not 115 either.. birds have 115 or 155 speedos]
Z rated tires = no limiter[or set very high like 255] and 150 speedo..

 

Unless I'm reading your post wrong, my car does not follow what you say.

I ordered my car new, with the standard, non Z rated tires.

My speedometer is 150 mph(or 155, can't remember), and I had the speed limiter somewhere around 115, which sucked. The speed limiter has since been removed.

Same here. Speed limiter at 113mph, but 155mph speedometer.

Especially page 3 'madwolf' posts.. who programs PCM's and should know when speed limiters are present or not..
I am sure not going to debate it.. maybe a few came thru with 150's and limiters.. due to a shortage od 110's on the assembly line etc?...
