IROC engines aren't the most durable things on the planet...

No question at all...he has no chance stock to stock...

yeah LT1= better in take and Torgue curves, as much as i loved my MINT 89 Iroz L98 car, the LT1 was a HP pumpin Beeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooooootch, the Tuned port motors look really nice but those things don't make any thing above like 4000-4500 rpms, look nice as hell though...i'd kinda like to get a TPI car preferablly a 305 TPI 5 speed and do some bolt ons (RR, Cam etc) and put on a super-ram intake and see what kinda power it'd make...it'd be fun! but yeah hands down LT1 all the way baby!!!
(u can tell im not sellin my Z any more, too much $$ in it with mods and i've learned soo much with her id miss the crap out her...just another example of me shooting my mouth off, ahhhh it feels good to be back in the LT1 board, id been hidin out for a while )

As much as I missed my electric blue '87 IROC 350, my '93 Z28 (and even my '89 Vette) will very easily beat the IROC - all cars being stock. Funny story: My friend had an '86 IROC 305 TPI car with some minor mods, and I used to take my sister in-law's 1999 V6 Camaro and race it all the time - and win, every time.
The 305 TPI IROC Camaros are total pigs not even worthy of the Camaro name. Those were the dark days when Mustangs used to spank Camaros all the time. The 305 carb motor is so pathetic I won't even get into that...
The ONLY IROC I would possibly worry about is an L98 1LE - and those are so rare that your chances of running into one are about the same as me banging the little oriental girl at the Chinese buffet place.

Still love those IROC Camaros though... They just look so cool.

Greg

Yeah they have a look about them to them, IROCs and the old Recaro Trans Ams (82) have earned a special place place in my pants ... ...

The only good IROC is an IROC with an LS1 in it
