Re: cam vs RR's

Well it depends... what are the future plans? I'm doing 1.7 rockers on my car which will bring lift over 510 on exhaust and 521 on intake. Almost like a cam and much cheaper. If you have an unlimited budget and want to go all out get the cam and 1.6 RRs. If you just want a for now boost and want to do a cam later get some 1.6 RRs and get the cam later. It all about what you wanna do in the future and how much $$ you have to burn.

to be quite honest when you do headers, you need to do springs, you can do them while the headers are removed. Also when you do a cam its just the intake and front accessories.

Re: cam vs RR's

Personally, I would do the cam and rockers together.

Yeah, he is referring to upgrading your springs to go along with the higher ratio rockers.

Re: cam vs RR's

Forgot to mention with the 1.7s I suggested get some 7/16" studs, GMPP guideplates, and lt4 valve springs. All around good set up.

Re: cam vs RR's

1.6 RR's can be done with just taking the valve covers off. A cam requires a lot more work. I wouldn't get 1.7 RR's unless you never plan on upgrading the cam.

1.6 RR's and LT4 springs took an afternoon to install and gave me 2+ mph in the 1/4 mile.
