cam swap wont idle

just swapped the cam in my 1993 z28 and it will not idle on its own,
i know everyone is going to say go get a tune and go from there, but i first started it and it idled just fine on its own but the rockers werent adjusted correctly, so it wasnt running on all 8 cyl, so i adjusted them ( probably not right) and it wont idle now,

can someone tell me how to adjust these rockers without the engine running? ill post a video of what its doing, and how i have to keep it running.

i know the timing isnt off at all, i made sure when i put it together it was lined up correctly, so i know you guys know your stuff so lets see if we cant fix this thing. thanks

Do you know any real mechanics? I mean ones who build motors or something, not the guy who changes oil at jiffy lube or pulls codes at the dealership. Have them come over and help you. There is no reasonable way to do this over the internet.

Biggest thing is adjusting the valves correctly, MOST people do them wrong.

Re: cam swap wont idle

well i got it fixed, i was hanging a valve open by having the rocker too tight, and i had very weak spark, so a rebuilt at home opti and a little bit of valve adjustment and its running great, now i just have to adjust my clacking rocker (s)

read this for valve adjust with motor off

only thing is when there is no more "up/down" movement in PR that is zero lash
