Cam Surge

I know what it is from reading, But what does it actually feel like and does it surge in WOT, Ive looked all over and people say cam surge will be aided with good tuning but still might have some and thats the price to pay for High Performance. Couldnt be any worse than driving with LT's and header mufflers constantly vibrating the whole car from touching the underside. Just trying to get a better Idea, my friend has a 6-speed is there a gear he can put it in and run around to show what it would feel like cruising?

It feels like the car has a mind of its own. Like it is trying to accelerate itself suddenly. It is more evident when you are trying to come to a stop.

Depending on how bad it is, it could be very annoying.

Its not a vibration. The whole car actually shakes as it lunges back and forth. It only occurs at low RPMs with light throttle and can be pretty easily avoided by downshifting or just putting the car in neutral. Tunning will help reduce cam surge but really its not a big deal once you learn when it happens to your particular car and how to avoid it.
