Question Which Cam for Stock A4

Hey

I have been wondering latley on which Cam would best suit my car. I have a bone stock 1994 Z-28 2.73 no mods at all. I Really want to put a Cam in it not so much for preformance but for a good camed up sound but i would want to keep more toward low/ mid range power ya know something around 1500 or so. Take into mind that this car will is a daily driver and probably will be for quite a while. what cam will i most likley be happy with and if you know what it will most likely sound like please give me some sort of description as to how rough it is.

Thanks for any help

I have a 96 Formula, I put a CC305 in my car, and kinda wish I went with something a little bigger, which seems to be what alot of people say after putting on that cam. But with the 2.73 rear end and stock stall, i think that's about as big as i would of wanted. Maybe after my gear swap and getting a 3k stall in there, i'll want a bigger cam.

If I were you, I'd install cold air intake, catback exhaust, and headers before you go with a cam. For all the work required to install a cam, I don't think the gains would justify the work on a stock car when you could get similar gains with the 3 mods I listed above.

Get an exhaust first. With a big cam and a stock exhaust, you're trying to squeeze a basketball through a lawn hose.........

I would have to agree with evilbox. The car must be able to inhale and exhale. I would also recommend gears before doing a cam, especially on a stock bottom end. Don't forget about the suspension. More power doesn't do you much good if you can't put it to the ground.

LPE 211 will kick it up to about 320RWHP and be very drivable

I liked the first one so much that I got a second one for our daily driver.
