Its a decient kit. Kind of depends on your goals though. And as for a stall for that kit, I think the normal is around 3k stall or so. But I am not that up to date on automatics so maybe sombody else will say somthing bout that.

How fast do ya wanna go? How much do you want to spend?
Street only? DD/weekend racer? ....

Hotcam is a little small for my taste, even as a DD. But it's relatively inexpensive.
There are a lot of other options depending on your budget and requirements.
(both off the shelf and custom)

As for stall, it really depends on the rest of the setup and the intended application.
I've DDed with both 3200 and 4000 stall with my LE1HL cam. I only run the 4000 because
I drag race from time to time, otherwise the 3200 would have worked out just as well.

the highest you wanna go and still keep it as a dd is a 3000 stall. if you do get one you might as well get a shift kit too. stall alone will screw up valve body not worked. ust ad mine done shift kit 3g stall and worked valve body.

I would say it is a good kit, you'll want to upgrade the springs though as they are not quite enough to handle both the cam and the higher ratio rockers. A stall in the 2800-3200 range should go well with your application.

If you want the hot cam kit I'd go with a quality 2800 stall, something like a Yank. I always recommend Yank because they are the only converters I have ever put in my cars and I think they are great.

I think a 2800 will do very well with the hot cam kit. As far as converter effecting driveability, to me it has very little effect. I currently have a 3600 in my car and love it for driving around town. But to each his own, one of my buddies drove my car when it had a 2800 in it and the first thing he asked was "do you have a converter?" So it's going to be different for everyone.

With the higher stall converter, you will also want to consider installing an auxillary tranny cooler as well.
