cam and set up parts
I am looking for a little more than the hotcam.any suggesstions? cc305,cc503,cc306.I need cam opinions on what you have also your valvesprings, pushrods lifter, timing chain set. my 93 z has cai, hooker exhaust 2800 stall with nittos on back. bmr lcas and str. no cat mad z28 tune.Is there a place where I can buy the whole thing as a kit.LIke I said tell me your whole setup your running.I want it very streetable with about 340 rwh.My rear end is 3.23 thanks snareman
You want little more than a HOT I would look at the GMPP 846, often overlooked but a solid performer. Not going to find it as a kit.
Lifters can generally be reused unless you find damage, put a new stock timing chain on it.
Consider the 918 beehives, not the cheapest but a good spring that will do the job well.
I am running a heads and cam package from Advanced Induction and running a LITTLE bigger cam than the 846 but I also increased compression a fair bit which will help lowend and drivability with larger cams.
What are your rocker plans? If not purchased yet consider the non-SA 1.6 Promagnums with 7/16" studs and Isky adjustable guideplates, again not the cheapest way to go but these parts will serve you well when in the future the mod bug bites again and you go farther.
