cam removal

I am thinking of put a cam in the LT1, I have decided on an LT4 cam and LT4 valve springs.

I have 2 questions

1. Will I be able to use my 1.6 RR'S with LT4 valve springs or do I need to put the stock ones back in?

2. Is there anyway of getting the cam with out disconnecting the air con rad and having to recharge the system?

Are you going to use the stock LT4 cam or the hotcam? I don't think it's worth it to use the stock LT4 since it's very similar to the one you have now. Either way the LT4 spring will work fine with the 1.6 rr.
The cam can be removed and installed without removing the condencer. It has to be swiveled out of way however to make room.

Re: cam removal

Yes sorry I just realised I forgot to put Hotcam, I was just reading a discription of how to do a LS1 cam change and they said as you describe. The rad comes away from the condensor and you move it up or down out of the way.

Thanks sssalah that answers my questions
