cam question

I was looking into purchasing a cam for my car and i had my heart set on the comp cams cc306. However, once i heard the cam i was a little turned off by it because of how lopey it is. Click link too hear.

The cam sounds extremely mean but i really wanna keep my car for driving almost everyday in the summer and i want to be able to take my girlfriend out on dates in my car. Now i have very very basic knowledge of cams and cam timing, but what i was really wondering was, is there any way to keep the cam from being so lopey. I heard someone talk about reducing the LSA, is that true? I want the cc306 because of the power it produces but are there any other cams out there that will produce good power from about 2500 rpm to about 6000rpm without the lope.

Re: cam question

that soundclip doesnt represent how the cc306 sounds in most cars.

http://camaro.ccurtis.net/media/carstart-divx.avi (cc306 open headers)

This 233/239 cam will sound similar to a cc306 (similar specs)

There was another one with a cc306 through an exhaust that i cant find now, that sounded tamer than both of these (because of the exhaust)
