Cam for new rebuild

I am in the process of rebuilding my motor and I'm going to be running the 355 rebuild kit. I'm going to try to keep the stock roller rockers and wondered what everyone's opinion is on what cam to put into my car and what valve springs to run with the cam. I'll be spraying 150 shot through it, so I need a cam that will accent the spray. Some people have said the cc306 since I have a 6-speed, everyone let me know what they think. Thanks in advance.

I've been looking at the cc305 myself, more streetable then the cc306. Should upgrade the rockers though since your redoing everything.

Streetability would be nice, but not really that important. I'm trying to just get cheap on the rockers for now and get the car back up and running by changing out parts that I'll already be taking off anyway. I know the rockers will come off with the tear down, but that is something that I can change out anytime when I get the money. What springs were you going to run with the cam?

I would do cc306 it is very streetable. I have no issues with it, just get a good tune. For vale springs I used comp cams and I think they are 986-16 but not positive. Call comp and tell em you need springs for cc306 and they will hook you up. Would also be good idea to port heads for cam to get most power.

Re: Cam for new rebuild

The cc306 is what I've been looking at, my heads have already had a mild port to them. This project is more or less to get the car running and up-grade parts that will be coming off. I think I'm going to go with the cc306, just need to know what springs to use. Thanks for the input.
