This is the cam i got
Cam motions solid roller cam: Custom grind. 500 miles on it. 252/258 with 577in/577ex on a 112lsa with a 1.5 rocker arm.

now, long story, but i got 1.6 rocker arms w/ hard pushrods guidplates and stock roller lifters and completely stock lt1 heads.

What springs am i going to need? and what headwork? I'm REALLY new to valvetrain work, so don't be afraid to go into great detail

Re: Cam help please!

Call Cam Motion and see what they recommend.
I don't understand why people want to buy a cam from this one ,the springs from another one, and the lifters from someone else.
The people who built the cam know more about what it takes for their cam than anyone.

By all means, call them.

Some cam guys will only do a cam for you if you use their recommended parts (lifters, springs, rockers, PUSHRODS, etc.) They should probably INSIST you do if the cam is "edgy".

IOW, if you don't want to leave a load of hp and torque on the table, you need to run ALL the right parts to support the cam than gives you the near-optimum valve events.

That may be cam guys' biggest headaches. Yeah, plurals were intended.

Re: Cam help please!

Well, Cam motions said to use 160 seat pressure and 395-400 open. Didn't know if i'd have to do headword to make any springs fit, or say i should use any certain spring. He said just as long as it has that rating, you'll be fine with 1.6 rockers.

Does this sound right to u guys? I've got no clue if its right or not, lol. And if someone can help me pick out some springs, that would be great!
