I have a 383 with a XE 230/236 on a 110LSA and get around 15-16MPG with primarily city driving. I haven't taken any long trips yet with this motor so I don't know about highway miles.

i had a 69 camaro with 383, 244/256@.050, .555/.572 lift & 108lsa. Turbo 350(built) with a 3600 holeshot converter and 4.10's. had 275/50/15 dr's on the back and driving it everyday i was getting a little over 10mpg in the city. oh and it had a vic jr. intake and 750dp with an 850 baseplate that had been worked over a little. if you dont get any better mileage than this with a fuel injected car and better gear ratios then you are just driving the sh!^ out of your car or something is seriously wrong.

i got ruffly 4-5 miles to the gallon out of my lunati .544/.560 232/242 110lsa.. but that was due to lack of tune and o2's sensors not getting hot enough.

Why would you say that??? Running 110 octane and 12.7 comp with 3.73's . Just trying to understand why you would think that.
Please tell me the times you have listed in your sig were not with the 383. If they then ACA is right and something is "hella" wrong and thats why your getting such bad gas milage.

yeah it was with the 383 but it was cutting up on the high end of the RPM range, Come to find out the O2's are dead. I also had the stock throttle body and injectors in the car.

some of these numbers are downright frightening me, others not so much. i have a nitrous cam waiting to go in that is fairly aggressive and i was hoping to not lose too much in the mileage arena. i currently with a missing opti and all the bolt ons am getting in the neighborhood of 325 to a tank (300-350 depending on what i drive). im hoping to stay in the 250-275 range with the cam. however, i do drive her really easy.........maybe most of you guys have leadfeet

What cam are you going with, I myself am waiting for my 224/236 536/555 114 cam to arrive, I hopw i don't lose to much either, but its pretty big, so I expect the worse. As for your mileage You're doing very well, you really must keep out of the gas! I know I can get just over 300 combined miles if I stay off it, but as soon as I push it down once or twice its drops to 250-260. My old neighbor would come over to my house and everytime I reved the engine and say "you know you can get to the corner with the amount of gas you just wasted" I always had a smart comment to give him, I guess that explained why he drove a ford festiva

I havn't checked it since installing the cam recently, but it's probably pretty bad at this point since I'm still getting used to it and my right foot has been a little heavy

still get 27-28 mpg on the interstate, the city driving though is where it has taking its toll, I barely get 13-16mpg, and thats babying the car all day long, no heavy foot here.
