Cam Bearing Gouge

Just got my motor back from the machine shop and had them install the cam bearing. There is a gouge (more then just a scratch) in the rear cam bearing at the top. I asked the machinist and he said he saw it and was wondering what his guy did when he installed it. Anyway,I pointed it out and he told me it will be fine because its at the 12 oclock position and the cam still spins fine. Think this will be ok? My camera is broken otherwise I would take a picture.

Why risk it? If they installed it, then make them fix it.

DO NOT LET THEM GIVE YOU A BRAND NEW DAMAGED PRODUCT!!!!!!

if you are paying for quality work and a quality product, then you should demand that they meet your standards.

Don't take a chance, make them fix it as you should not have any nicks in your cam bearings.
