Which cam?
Which cam?
I am thinking about the hot cam for a gift. The main reason is because it is so cheap. But then i dont want to get it in and wished i went with something bigger? I HAVE to pass emissions and it is my daily driver. What could i run with hot cam mac mids loudmouth, and 3.73s?
With that being said what other cams are good for daily drive that will pass emissions? I know the cc306 cam is like $239 but how much would it cost for a good valve (1.6rr, springs, retainers) train to work with that cam? I want to run high 12s with stock unported heads and i can drive it daily. So what would be my best/cost effective way to get me there? thanks!

Re: Which cam?
Heres the two I'm searching....alot of information.
Search for XE 224/230
And cc305
I havent heard of the cc306 passing smog, the cc305 will pass smog but I think you have to have your car tuned. The Hotcam is good for the money but you might want a lil more power. You might need a tune with the Hotcam but I've heard of a few guys fine with that cam, do a search in here with all your question since its brought up alot.

Re: Which cam?
Could someone put together a valve train for the cc305(1.6rr springs and retainers) I just want to get a feel how much it will cost for the cam and valve train. Could i hit high 12s with 305, 1.6rr mac mids and 3.73s with a stock stall? I know a stall will help alot but i wont have money for one for a little while.
Re: Which cam?
Don't forget gaskets, fluids, mail order tune, etc. These little things add up in a hurry.
As for a complete package for the swap, I'd contact cmotorsports.com and see what they can do. Plenty of folks on this board have gotten great deals from them. They'll set you up with all the appropriate parts for the job.
