Hope you can help ! Scanning my computer w/auto xray or datamaster[both] my voltage is reading low 12's. On my batt/alt I'm seeing 13.7- 13.8 . From the lighter outlet the volt changes low to high with in a few minutes. Do you have any suggestions on what it could be? It's just driving me nuts!!!!

 

OK dont take this personally at all b/c everyone does it, but i am soooo tired of seeing hey showbox, and hey fred posts. These guys are some of the best for sure, and always come through, but Im sure TONS of other people on here can help with your problem. If you want to contact 1 person, send them a PM, the message board is a great tool for EVERYONE to answer questions, by using a persons name you are only going to limit views.

I have to agree with atljar. If you specifically call out someone, you will limit you chances to get responses. Email with attention to the thread if you want.

From what I have seen, it is not unusual to see a slightly lower value from the pcm (or scanners) as far as voltage goes. If you are not having any voltage related problems, you probably don't have much to worry about. Especially at low rpms (like idle) the alt does not seem to put out as steady a voltage as higher rpms.

 

My answer to that is. Shoebox is the only one that answer the post without having something stupid to say, And he always answers a post. Thats what makes him a great guy. Oh yea he knows what hes talking about unlike some people!

PS: SHOEBOX does the spoiler on a 95 Z28 come apart into 2 seperate halfs? Once its off the car i mean.. Like the part ontop of the 3rd brake light and on the bottom of the 3rd brake light.. do those seperate? I bought a freedom design spoiler and it says to drill 6 holes and bolt the spoiler down... I dont see how im going to bolt anything down unless i drill through the bottom too, which im not doing... Would 3M double sided tape hold a spoiler on thats about 4 inches taller than the RS spoiler at high speeds like say over 100.. i dont want it blowing off. I have not had the spoiler off, but it is not sold in two pieces. That does not mean that it might not come apart, though. You might try a post in the appearance forum (maybe someone has done one of these). Don't know how secure I would feel about putting that on with tape, being it is subject to so much air.

Countrymuzicz28: Very nice burnout!!!!!! I have your ball of rubber and a ziploc bag for you. theres still rubber out in the street. there was a line about 5' behind the lines of rubber. Isn't fun getting new tires and burning out the old ones.

Hey why dont you guys grow up a little. Everyone here, is here for answers to questions as well as to help everyone else out. If you say things like that all you are doing is limiting how many people will help you. I know that Shoebox is THE man when it comes to these LT1's, but he even said it himself....dont limit who will help you. And RobbyRob.....it might be in your best interest to watch how you say things, for the people in charge of this site do monitor the posts and can kick you off if they feel neccessary.
