Calling all LPE H/C cars!

I pulled off a pretty good find.

I was blackmailed into going to a garage sale this weekend, and to my luck I ended up talking to an older gentleman about his corvette, explaining he use to have a 96 ss. To my surprise he had brand new never installed LPE CNC LT1 heads and the 211/219 cam w/ all necessary hardware, needless to say I got a really good price, with cash on the spot. I have a block just sitting around too.

I'm set with my current engine (freshly built), but it doesn't hurt to have a back-up or maybe for another project. The engine will be a budget stock rebuild w/ this LPE package. I really don't know to much info on Lingenfelter or what numbers this package might obtain. I did some searching but I haven't found too much.

What are you guys getting out HP/TQ wise w/ the LPE 211/219 stock or with good heads etc.

Greatly appreciated!

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the output of that setup.
Here's what mine did:

(right lane)

With supporting mods of course including LT headers/ORY (running through full 2OTL exhaust), 12-bolt and ET Streets w/ 3.73 gears. Race weight was 3750.
You'll want to stick with 3.73's if you care about 1/4 times. My best with 4.10's was a 12.28 @ 114.2 w/ a 1.70 60' time. As you can see there was a fairly good improvement going to 3.73's even though my 60' suffered a bit.
This cam is completely smooth at idle. W/ an ORY and headers there is a bit of a lope, but you have to listen for it. It's a real sleeper for LTx competition.
If you are going to stay emissions legal then it'll still perform alright. I was able to muster 350rwhp/350tq and turn a 12.5 @ 110 going through Edelbrock shorties into the stock Y-pipe w/ cats, again through full exhaust. At that point I was running 4.10's so that may have helped as well. Only reason why I gearded to 3.73's is due to running past the power peak before crossing the traps (using the ORY).

Looks to be a good runner you have there...I figured anywhere from 340-350 HP, looks to be a pretty good estimate @ this point. Nice to know that I'll have a 350hp engine at my disposal. I'm still currently without any dyno numbers/times on my AI 355, but I'd say probably 390-410 hp with everything in my sig. Just wish there was a dyno near me... ;(

I'm probably going to use this LPE setup in another f-body if I can find one cheap, and throw this engine in there. I only paid $700 for the H/C btw. With that said I'll probably never get a deal like that ever again.

You'll get killer gas mileage too. That setup is gone. I've moved on to a 395.3 solid roller application. Using the original LPE heads which have the same port job that was used on the old setup. I figured I'd try them out on this thing to see if they'll make any power before deciding if I want to spend serious money on heads.
Forgot to mention mine are LT4's. However in the several times I've talked to LPE over the years they keep insisting there may be a 10hp difference between the LT1/LT4 CNC heads.
