calling all with AUTOMETER N2O GAUGE IN A-pillad pod

got my autometer gauge and pod used with my NX kit ... and just realized that if i want to mount the gauge in the proper angle .. it wont go into the pod, because after attaching the N2O line to it, it wont fit the pod anymore (the line hits the back of the pod.. unless i turn the gauge upside down)

here are some pictures

ps. i posted this in the N2O forum .. but had no bite .. so i figuered i'll try my luck here

Cool

I would put a 45 elbow on there as suggested before. I was having similar trouble out of my oil pressure guage, but there is enough flex in the plastic hose to allow it to fit.

looking at those pics .. i doubt even a 45* elbow would fit in there.. if i push the gauge all the way in the pod.. the end of the fitting is almost touching the back of the gauge pod.. unless there is a way of taking OUT the fitting, and replacing it with a 45* one.. or a shorter one...

I have three thoughts regarding your dilemma:

1. The plastic of these pods can be heated and reshaped (sunlight and heat did mine over several summers) and I'm hoping you can change it just enough for cleareance so that you won't have any other modifications

2. Perhaps a double guage pod will give you enough room in another area of the piller and also allow for more bending with heat.

3. Do some gentle gringing and sanding on the area where the gauge contacts the pod edges and maybe you can change the angle the guage sits at.

Hope it works out for you.
