California Smog Guys get in here!!!!

Im in the process of rebuilding my 355 Camaro 94. The last set up was a 224/236 XE Cam on .5inch lift 1.6 rockers and long tubes. Now I know that will not pass California smog. Heres my question. IF I were to put the stock manifolds on with two cats. with same camshaft. Do you think it will pass?Chris

Are you saying that it won't pass because of the cam? If your worried about that go get a smog tune done by one of the two top mail order guys on here and then swap out the tune AS SOON AS your done. It has been done before and will work. Two cats on a one cat car will be a dead give away to some of the hardcore smog techs. Or do what I did, register your car in a county that does not have smog. My mom lives in Mendocino and they don't have smog up there in Hippie land.

Someone passed in Hayward with a 230/236-112, so don't rule out passing smog with it...so long as it is a 15/25mph smog. Doubt it would pass the old idle smogs.

Next smog isn't for a year so I don't know if it will pass. It idles pretty dirty but once you load it on the smog dyno I'm hoping it will clean up enough. Alvin @ PCMforless thinks it might pass. If it doesn't I'll just pay someone.
