CAI on Trac Ctrl. Car

I need to buy a CAI for my car but Summit racing says that the FIPK and Moroso will not fit a car equipped with traction control. Whats up with this??? That only leaves me the SLP. Do any of you got any suggestions on what to do, that just doesnt seem right to me, why would traction control effect a cold air intake??

I dont have traction control, but im pretty sure the device for it sits above the driver side exhaust manifold/valve cover area. Shouldnt affect any aftermarket CAI. But double check with someone else who has traction control.

i have traction control too and was planning on getting a K&N FIPK too. i've asked around about this b4 and some people with traction control told be it made no difference with a FIPK. others have said it the unit is right below the abs modulator and is in the way for CAI. i dont know what to do anymore, might just buy the kit, try it out, and if it doesnt fit, take it back and say the product was defective.

Yes the ASR unit is directly below the ABS modulator. My SLP CAI fits perfectly in that tight space between the radiator shroud and ASR crap that I'm actually going to remove. I dont think the ASR really makes a difference but I know for sure the SLP works. If in doubt go with that CAI, I love it.

Where did you get your SLP CAI, i know you can get it directly from SLP but ive heard it takes them like 6 weeks for it to come in. Just wondering if you got yours somewhere else?
