CAI or SS Hood with airbox??

I have recently had a SS Hood and airbox put on my car and I have had some mixed reviews about getting rid of the CAI and going with the airbox...I just wanted to know what you guys thought about it...which set up do you like better??? and your reasons why....Thanks in advance.....Misty

I personally like the SS airbox.

Saw more track MPH and lower intake temps with the SS box, over a K&N cai.

My 383 also made 453rwhp through the SS airbox, so I think it flows well enough.

I like the looks of my polished SLP CAI (in sig), I could use the polished intake elbow, but I dont feel liek spending $95 on it.

A functional SS Air box would probably work a little better, but I have seen post in wich the diferences in power are minimal between the SS set up and the CAI.

Do a search and see what other people have chosen, but I think it will have more to do with what you think looks better.

I would go with the CAI because of heat soak. Put your hand on top of the intake after a driving around all day, and then put your hand where the CAI filter sits.....quite a difference.
