CAI makes a huge diff.

I just got a SS hood and decided to go with a ram air set up well i found a guy that is willing to trade ram air for CAI. I just took my CAI off tonight, boxed it up to ship it, and put the stocker on. I then went and took it out for a drive there is a huge SOTP diff. I could really feel the loss of hp especially the more it rev'd. When i first put the CAI on it was my only mod and made no SOTP diff. now that i have headers and catback it obviously was helping out a lot more. When i first put mine on i was pissed there was no SOTP diff. but everyone on here had always said they are proven hp. I guess this is proof for me they really work.

I have heard that many times on this board but after i took of the old K&N CAI it has quite a pinch in it right in the radiator spot. It is bigger than the stocker but the pinch really chokes the CAI off. K&N makes the plastic snorkle so big but then they have a really restrictive pinch in it. It can only flow as much as the restriction is no matter how big they make it on either side of the pinch. I haven't gotten the ram air yet but i doubt it could pinch it as much as the K&N one there is no reason to pinch it that much.
