CAI install help

I'm getting ready to be flamed for this one. I bought a k&n CAI off a guy used. Tee only piece I got was a plastic tube thing and a coupler off the stock intake assembly. The coupler doesn't seem to be long enough, is there a longer one supplied with the kit? Can someone give me an idea of what size this is and where I can get one? Thanks

From what I remember, the coupler doesn't need to be very long. It just connects the MAF to the plastic tube. You can get them at any hardware store. Just measure the diameter of the plastic tube and the MAF and make sure it will fit. I'm thinking 3.5" in diameter, but I'm not sure.

My coupler was messed up due to years of use and heat, I just found the part number I needed off K&n's website, called their customer service department and they sent me a new one for free when I said the old one ripped... It cant get easier or cheaper than than..

Well I went to Ace hardware and Lowes. The only rubber couplers are 3" and 4" and it's 3.5" so that's not really going to work. I'm going to call the K&N customer service line than. Thanks

I thought about doing that with the 3" piece. But they're sending me a new one, so now it won't look all ghetto with sewer pipe on it.
Yeah I got the pm,was just responding to it also. I'll post a vid up before the weeks end. Just been to damn busy with work and school. Might be getting some long tubes on soon also!

the coupler is for the non=maf cars. mine didnt need it and i have a 97 car. i know the 93's need the coupler cuz they dont have the maf. unless you're talking about the opening on the plastic elbow piece itself...then i'm at a loss. i've never seen a 3.5" intake elbow on one of these cars.
