It only comes on during low throttle events at a certain temperature, if your driving hard it will not come on. I think anything over ~21 MPH exiting first gear is where it will not come on.

I "took mine off," with Tunercat, there is also a resistor free mod, or you can pay for it with a nice set of connectors.

 

If you want to get rid of it you can do it like this on your 94...
